What's on in the Winter...

January is the season of fiesta days - 6 January is Three Kings night when the kings arrive in each town delivering gifts for the local children. Their means of transport varies from boats to horses but alas no camels. A great way to experience a fabulous Spanish tradition. San Sebastian is Palma's biggest festival in mid-January with music, food and dancing in the streets. This is a great way to see the sophisticated Palmesanos at play. San Antonio celebrates the ridding of disease from the island animals and sees bonfires, devils and bbqs in the streets making for a fabulous evening in winter.

February is Almond Blossom month when the island is coated with a layer of pink and white blossom just like the beard on an aging man. It really is beautiful under bright blue skies and makes for a wonderful time of year to explore the island. Carnival is celebrated everywhere with dressing up, floats and of course much drinking and eating before the serious matter of lent begins.

March sees preparations for Easter and one of the best times of the year to visit the island to discover more. Whatever your interest Mallorca will have something to stimulate, art, music, food, bars, sailing, cycling, walking, wine-tasting, art, writing you name it, you can find it here and with plenty of daily flights from the UK at affordable prices this is a perfect time to visit.
