June - as the whether starts to get hotter we see the last of the trade and craft fairs, including Balearic Discovery's own local fiesta, the Herb Fair in Selva.  On the second weekend in June our streets will be invaded by demons, imps, princesses, giants and talking horses all accompanied by the aroma of myrtle and other herbs.

July and August see the traditional fiestas where towns and villages honour their patron saint.  As you travel round the island it is common to find village squares decorated with streamers and you may come across anything from traditional Mallorcan ball de bot dancing to raucous rock concerts.

August begins spectacularly in Pollenca with the Moros and Cristianos a re-enactment of the battle where Joan Mas and his army of townsfolk bravely saw off the attack of the pirate Dragut and his Moorish hoards. Battles rage throughout the streets on the 2nd of the month.
