The island of Cabrera is one of the best preserved nature reserves in the Mediterranean .
Its archipelago is often refered to as the Mediterranean Galapagos.
After being collected from your accommodation and accompanied to the port, you will set out for the national park of Cabrera. The relaxed crossing will give you plenty of time to sunbathe, swim and snorkel, and lunch will be served on board. On arrival at Cabrera the yacht will anchor in the large natural harbour, and you can decide whether to continue relaxing on board. If you would prefer there is the opportunity to explore the island, following the well-indicated public footpaths. The island is replete with history and you can visit the ruins of the castle which was original built in the 14th century as a defence against pirates. By the 19th century it had become a prison for French captives of the Napoleanic Wars who were abandoned to their fate on the island.
Please note this excursion must be confirmed a minimum of 1 week in advance as it is necessary to obtain a special permit to visit the island and sail in the surrounding waters. Prices from 3500 Euros per day. Suitable for two to twelve people.
