Creative Writing

Join professional writers including poet Roger McGough and television writer Di Redmond for a 5 day creative writing workshop in the beautiful Mallorcan village of Deia.

This is a fantastic opportunity to spend a week writing and learning about various creative art forms, from poetry to writing for television and radio - even if you're a complete beginner.

The five day course includes master classes, readings, time to hone writing skills, and the opportunity to work alongside professionals of different disciplines who know all too well the hardships of writing, the misery of rejection and the joy of creation! All this in Deia, Mallorca, in the golden May sunshine.

The course which has a maximum of 15-20 writers at all levels will have morning sessions, which might include poetry workshops or practical advice and guidance on how to present work to publishers or agents.

After a communal lunch the afternoon is free for further writing or relaxing, walking, swimming, tennis or just a chat by the pool! Course-based feedback and presentation of work in progress takes place in the evenings before breaking for supper in one of Deia's many fabulous restaurants.

Be prepared to work hard, challenge yourself, re-work drafts, take criticism, give advice, support your colleagues but most of all find joy and satisfaction in your writing.

You'll be taught by highly experienced teachers, apart from being a world-famous poet Roger McGough has taught on many Arvon poetry courses whilst Di Redmond (who is a full time television script writer) has led numerous courses on writing for television, publishers, radio and the theatre.

Running from Monday to Friday throughout May these fabulous courses are available from 935 Euros.
