Son Cosmet
Approached by a drive that sweeps through the grounds of this ancient Mallorcan possessió (estate), from the moment you arrive at Son Cosmet you know that you have found something truly special.The rambling house has evolved over the centuries in the best of Mallorcan traditions, with each generation adding on to the original 13th century farm - still partly preserved in the breakfast room. The owner Cosme has lovingly restored the house, creating an elegant, spacious environment where the decoration refers back to the estate´s history , but never loosing sight of the comforts that modern visitors demand.
The estate grounds tell of an even more ancient occupation of this site, with prehistoric caves and the remains of an ancient talayot (pre-Roman defensive tower) that was dismantled in the distant past to create the walls of the stable!
Enjoying the total peace by the hotel pool, you will find it hard to believe that you are just a couple of kilometres from the bustling market town of Campos. The nearest beaches are within a 10 minute drive.
